2014 Weekly Photos – Week #01 (January 1, 2014)

This week’s photos is brought to you by the letter “A” for “Apple”.

No, not the eating kind but instead the Big Apple, New York City.

I had an opportunity to play tourist in New York City over the Christmas holidays and, naturally, I took many photos. I was four years old the last time I was in New York City and that was a while ago, so things have changed a wee bit since then. As I was walking around, primarily on the island of Manhattan, I would ask myself the question, “What is New York City to me?”

I believe the best way to answer that question is through some of the photos I took while I was there being a tourist …

    • Hello Lorna. Ahhhhh … another gargoyle lover. Aren’t they fascinating looking creatures? I’m never sure of the ones on the Chrysler Building – are they gargoyles or eagles? Regardless, they are fascinating. And if you really want to see a fantastic photo of them check out this web link of a photo of Margaret Bourke White. Sigh, I only wish it was me taking the photo.

      Happy New Year … Catherine
